Mauerbau - Die geteilte Stadt (construction of the Berlin Wall - the divided city)

The 13th August 1961 is the historic day of building the wall and epitome of the division of the city. Indeed the "building of the wall as well as wall reconstruction and wall expansion" never stopped, a meticulous assurance of the anti-fascist protective wall against capitalist western influences. Bizarre and almost impossible to comprehend: to create a "barrier" with insane and loathsome effort. With "dead stone" a city was divided, the hearts of the Berliners remained united forever.
