Bei der Planung der Hochzeit spielte der Mauerbau sicher noch keine Rolle. Am Tag der Hochzeit konnten Ost-Berliner Eltern, Verwandte und Freunde plötzlich nicht mehr dabei sein. Das Brautpaar Grotzke ging am 04.09.1961 dennoch zur Friedrichstraße, um zumindest mit dem Fernglas "hallo" sagen zu können. Ost-Berliner durften nicht mit einem Fernglas gen Westen blicken.

When planning the wedding the Berlin Wall certainly not played any role. On the day of the wedding parents, relatives and friends in East-Berlin suddenly couldn't be thereby. The couple still went to the Friedrichstraße at least to say "hello" with the binoculars. People in East-Berlin namely were not allowed to look through binoculars to West-Berlin.
